Sober October Challenge

Sober October Challenge: Free Checklist and Calendar

Computers aren’t the only machines that occasionally need a reset. Our mind, body and often need resets as well. A reset can be a time to reflect, a time to relax, and a time to get healthy. The month of October has officially been designated as that time. Welcome to Sober October.

What is Sober October?

Sober October is a challenge to stay sober for the 31 days of October. The challenge was created to encourage social drinkers to not only take a break from drinking during the month of October, but to also make more healthy decisions for their mind, body and spirit.

While the challenge was created as a break from our seemingly mental dependency on alcohol, the challenge has also been used to give up other vices like unhealthy foods, smoking and swearing.

Whatever you decide to give up in October, don’t do anything without the mental guidance of a calendar checklist to guide you through each day.

With a checklist, each day is an accomplishment. Nothing will feel better than waking up the next morning and checking off another day completed.

Here’s a totally free Sober October Calendar Checklist that you can copy, download and use for free. Use the free desktop app, our free ios free app (Search Sober October), or download the PDF and print so you can hang it up on your fridge.

Where did Sober October come from?

Sober October originated in the UK to raise awareness about alcohol. The challenge was first referred to as “Go Sober for October”, and was really meant as a way to prepare your body for the coming holiday season which is a notorious time for indulging in unhealthy eating habits.

Finally

Be safe and consider chatting with your doctor before making any drastic lifestyle changes. While these may seem like healthy changes, sometimes a serious shock to our body can be harmful as well.

Good luck to all of you!
